Referring to the subject above, kindly find enclosed the flyer on the upcoming activity, the Half-Day Technical Visit to Philips Lighting Application Center (LAC), which will be held on 25th January 2018 (Thursday).

Synopsis:

 

Philips has been revolutionizing lighting for over 125 years. We pioneered the world changing development of electric light and LED, and are now leading the way in intelligent lighting systems. Our deep understanding of how lighting positively affects people, enables us to deliver innovations that unlock new business value to our customers. We offer rich lighting experiences that make people feel safe, comfortable, focused, energized and entertained.

 

Philips LAC is supported by the Economic Development Board and serves growing demands for the Internet of Things (IoT) and connected systems in growth markets - ASEAN Pacific, India, Japan, Middle East & Turkey, Russia & Central Asia, and the Africas. With Singapore as the company’s regional hub, its LAC supports the testing and development of innovative applications for connected and sustainable systems. In addition, the LAC will showcase the latest digital lighting innovations: interactive multimedia pixel wall, multi-experience stadium lighting, visual light communications for indoor positioning, warehouse lighting, Power-over-Ethernet for offices, luminous panels and textiles, connected street lighting, and more. The LAC serves as the largest and only demonstration space for Philips Lighting in ASEAN Pacific with indoor and outdoor applications for innovative lighting, and 80 per cent of the centre covered with technologically-advanced LED luminaires that can be programmed for interactive and connected features.

 

IEM (Southern Branch) is organizing this visit to get information about the latest lighting innovation & systems to give an exposure especially for our young engineers to be equipped with the latest knowledge about lighting. We are pleased to invite all members to participate in this activity. This visit is strictly limited to 25 participants only. Registration will be on a first-come-first-serve basis. REGISTRATION IS CONFIRMED ONLY WITH PAYMENT RECEIVED. Kindly return the reply to the IEM (SB) office before 22nd January 2018 to get her with a non-refundable commitment fee of RM 120.00 per person (RM 180.00 for non-IEM members) and made payable to The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (Southern Branch).  Alternatively, you could bank-in the Commitment Fees into the Institution’s Maybank Current Account (No. 5-013920-15708) and to facsimile the bank-in slip as well as the Reply Slip to the Institution. Please note that the fees must be settled in advance prior to the visit. Please also be reminded that if a place is reserved and the intended participant failed to attend the visit, the fee will still have to be settled in full.
